ABSTRACT

The Fenton process is used to decompose wastewater in many fields commonly found in the industry. Among the large family of industries, the method is commonly utilized in textile, pharmacy, chemical, and cosmetics. Moreover, scientists noticed high efficiency in all of these fields of industry. Interestingly, the method shows excellent results in decomposing compounds, which are dangerous for the environment, due to their cancerogenic, toxicity, and biocompatibility properties. The high efficiency of the process was observed by analysis of the chemical oxygen demand, total organic carbon, and biological oxygen demand.
