ABSTRACT

The virtual mathematics laboratory is a virtual laboratory where elementary school teacher education students can access a variety of mathematics learning applications. The goal of this research is to use one of the virtual mathematics laboratory applications as a guide in compiling math story questions for elementary school teacher education students. The descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collected through observation and interviews. According to the findings of this study, students can compose mathematical story problems based on realistic mathematics using the Polya stages of problem-solving, namely understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back at the results of their work.
