ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the degradation phenomena of different materials and components and analyzes the degradation mechanisms, which helps to understand the design principles for materials and components in PEMWEs. This chapter also introduces the testing and diagnosis of degradation in PEMWEs, which provides valuable data for degradation studies. This chapter generally focuses on the degradation in PEMWEs and discusses possible solutions for prolonging their lifetime.
