ABSTRACT
Yogyakarta is often used as a vacation destination. Hostels are accommodation facilities that are often chosen by tourists who travel long distances by prioritizing the vacation experience overspending the budget for lodging or are often referred to as a backpacker. Snooze Hostel, located in Yogyakarta, is one of the accommodation facilities that is often used as an alternative place to stay overnight by backpackers who travel to Yogyakarta. The limited space will affect some of the behavior of the visitors, including the higher level of interaction between visitors. This is a manifestation of the result of a stimulant in the form of a space atmosphere that is formed, which will eventually produce perceptions and behaviors in each individual. The purpose of writing this paper is to examine the reciprocal relationship between the limitations of existing space and the behavior of backpacker visitors at Snooze Hostel Yogyakarta. The results of the study indicate that with the layout arrangement in a limited area, visitors will have more opportunities to interact with other tourists because some of the facilities in it are used together. The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis.
