ABSTRACT
Indonesia is an archipelagic country with ethnic and cultural diversity, where there is a lot of uniqueness, especially in traditional art in the form of folklore. Folklore is a potential asset in an art performance because it can present interesting displays of representations from the traditional culture of the community. Information and communication technology that develops in this digital era demands innovation in various fields including art. This article discusses the study of folklore-based performing arts using digital art spaces, as an effort to revitalize art into digital performances. This study is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach and experimentation at the final stage of the research. The results of the study show that the innovation of folklore art performances into the digital art space is a powerful way to maintain its existence and be more widely known by future generations in the metaverse era.
