ABSTRACT
Gedung Sate, Gazebo Sport Field, and Monument of Perjuangan Rakyat Jawa Barat as part of public space have significant value in the development of culture, history, architecture, facilities, and its infrastructure in Bandung. Its significant part in Bandung has earned its reputation as a monumental area, and its visual images should attract visitors. Apart from its daytime visual appearance, the night time appearance of this area should also be an important aspect in attracting visitors. This research is aimed at the perception of users towards this area. The analysis is done using quantitative methods in the form of a questionnaire for the respondents. The results of this research show that the application of illumination to shape night time visual appearance in this area attracts visitors and piques the interest of the visitors to the area. This research can be used as a ground for the development of lighting in this area.
