ABSTRACT

Based on Republic of Indonesia Law No. 20 of 2003 Chapter 5, every citizen has the right to receive an education, including physically, emotionally, mentally, intellectually, and socially disabled citizens. These individuals need comfortable and safe education facilities setting to pursue their education. This study aims to determine the space-forming factors needed in making education facilities for individuals with special needs. They are implementing a qualitative method by searching the data from scientific references, interviews, and observations on three special schools in Bandung, West Java. The results showed that every type of disability needs different interior settings, according to their specific needs.
