ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the first HUMANE workshop – with the joint themes of system safety/technology and cybersecurity. System safety in this context was intended to be about machinery and hardware, and cybersecurity to consider the software and IT perspective. Having said that, the main theme in HUMANE is always the role of the human in the sociotechnical system.
