ABSTRACT
It is essential to highlight that the civil construction industry is a significant contributor to carbon emissions. The aim of this article is to develop a flowchart using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, which has already been employed to calculate the carbon footprint of deep foundations. This flowchart will be specifically tailored to assess the carbon footprint of helix piles used in a building project located in Brasilia, DF. Alongside this, the article will include a literature review of previous research within the foundation sector concerning carbon footprint analysis.
