ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 collects the most important aspects to consider in an efficient operation and maintenance (O&M) plan for BIPV systems, which aims at improving the overall quality management of the BIPV system’s life cycle, mitigating potential risks, and reducing maintenance costs. The main components of an O&M plan include safety aspects, data monitoring, and performance metrics, while maintenance key aspects describe the needs of the different components of a BIPV system. Some additional considerations are included for energy storage systems.
