ABSTRACT

During the use of pier structures, vertical cracks can develop under the influence of complex factors such as stress, temperature, and corrosion. To suppress the generation and development of vertical cracks in piers and enhance structural durability, a method of reinforcing piers with a circular prestressed steel wire rope system was proposed. Studies on the stress and strain of solid and hollow pier structures under different loads, diameters, and steel wire rope spacings were carried out, verifying the reinforcement effect. Through parametric analysis, the effects of various factors on the reinforcement were explored, and the method was optimized. A study on the prestress loss of the circular prestressed steel wire rope was conducted. A complete method was proposedd. This research can provide a basis for the design of the circular prestressed system and the development of anchors and other structures, and serve as a reference for similar engineering projects.
