ABSTRACT
This study focuses on fatigue reliability in steel bridges, a critical concern due to increasing traffic loads. Employing the S-N curve method, a Stochastic Sensitivity Analysis (SSA) is conducted to assess the impact of input parameters. Miner’s rule and fracture mechanics are compared for fatigue assessment, considering uncertainties through stochastic sensitivity analysis. Material-related factors and the equivalent stress range are identified as pivotal contributors to fatigue reliability. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding influential parameters for improved design and predictive insights in structural behavior.
