ABSTRACT
Centre for spatial analytics and advanced GIS (C-SAG) focuses on generating reliable ensembled weather products for its agri-GIS and providing advisories to plots and farmers. This chapter talks about the approach C-SAG took in collaboration with IBM to embed necessary weather inputs in the agriculture advisory, which was provided using advanced GIS techniques to 53K farmers in the 2018 season in Odisha across 532 villages, and increase it to 133K farmers.
In the 2019 and 2020 seasons, C-SAG organized a multi-parametric spatial database of about 200-odd parameters village-wise – a rich database for analytics and advanced machine learning processing.
