ABSTRACT
In the past two decades, neural networks have gained significant interest as a convenient tool useful for solving a wide variety of practical tasks. They have been successfully applied to an extremely broad range of problems in diverse fields such as finance [30], medicine [171], engineering, geology, and physics [23]. Neural networks are used wherever issues related to data processing and analysis arise, including prediction, classification, or control tasks. Neural networks are a highly sophisticated modeling technique, capable of representing exceptionally complex functions. Their non-linear nature significantly enriches the scope of their applications.
