ABSTRACT

The thermophysical features of the formation of a directional structure of complex-profile castings (a turbine blade for a stationary gas turbine engine) from the SM88Y alloy in the UVNK-8P vacuum plate with variations in the crystallization rates Vcr. = 5; 10 mm/min were studied experimentally and analytically. The dependences of the change in the temperature gradient at the crystallization front and the speed of movement of the front on its position in the crystallizing casting were obtained. Metallographic analysis shows that with selected optimal crystallization parameters, a regular dendritic structure is formed along the entire length of the product, including transition section.
