ABSTRACT
In our culture, in the vision of the cosmogony and nature are part of a total unity, and nature are part of a total unity. The landscape, from the point of view of the environment, becomes of spiritual interest: “The term landscape is an integral part of our consciousness and defines the spectacular nature as a feeling, the Landscape is a sacred place. It includes the vision, the panorama, the part of the territory observed by man from a defined point that awakens an aesthetic, spiritual and quality of life interest. It refers to a part of the earth’s surface, to a portion delimited by human observation It has a shape, specific );”.
This is the first time in Mexico that a 16th century convent has been fully restored and enhanced, both the restoration of the old convent and the phytosanitary restoration of the centenary olive trees in the atrium, as well as the participation of the community in the project and the execution of the work.
The old Franciscan convent of Santa Ana de Tzintzuntzan is the only colonial heritage that is managed and administered by the community.
The atrial landscape is the crucible of the intangible, the sacraments, the celebration of the Day of the Dead, the different scenes of the Way of the Cross during Holy Week are still performed. In the old convent there are classes of the Purepecha language, painting, sculpture, the notary’s office of the priest and the council of the ladies of the town of Tzintzuntzan.
