ABSTRACT
This paper presents a review of experimental and numerical analyses of vibration behaviour in metal-timber composite beams. Aluminium-timber and steel-timber composite beams are relatively light compared to steel-concrete composite beams. However, their light weight may have a negative impact on the performance of floors subjected to dynamic loadings. For this reason, the vibrations of metal-timber composite beams were investigated. The authors demonstrated their behaviour based on their own experimental and numerical investigations from previous publications, as well as on other studies presented in the literature.
