ABSTRACT
The subject standards EN 1993-1-1 and EN 10025-4 contain requirements for the ductility of steel to allow sufficient deformation of structures before failure. Based on this, proposals for limiting cold deformation to ensure adequate steel ductility parameters after the cold bending process of steel components are presented. Existing literature guidelines and a proposed ex-tension of the guidelines for S460M steel are presented. The proposed cold deformation limits for S460M steel were based on our own material tests.
