ABSTRACT

In the article, using the example of a steel-concrete box bridge on the S3 expressway, which is part of the bridge crossing on the Świnoujście-Troszyn route, the real local initial imperfections of stiffened web panels with two longitudinal stiffeners are presented. The measurement method and results obtained for a representative group of webs are presented. A parametric FEM model was built and calculations of webs with predefined initial imperfections were performed based on the measured geometry (GMNIA). As a result of the analyses, an envelope of allowable normal and shear stresses (with an assumed stress distribution) was created for each web model and compared with the assumptions made at the design stage.
