ABSTRACT
A major step toward more precise farming and better resource management in agriculture is using the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This chapter presents a comprehensive overview of Smart IoT technologies allowing farmers to accurately regulate and monitor weather conditions and agricultural activities, hence optimizing farming efficiency. By arranging monitors and linked devices across many sites, farmers may get real-time data on soil moisture, temperature, pH levels, and crop health. This enables them to make wise decisions maximizing resources and increasing agricultural output. Smart IoT solutions for agriculture rely on their capacity to provide precise data-enabling tasks such as pest control, fertilization, and irrigation. Apart from reducing chemical inputs and saving water, this concentrated approach less affects the environment and increases the sustainability of farming. Moreover, using machine learning techniques helps one to estimate food yields and identify plant illnesses before they become very common, thereby safeguarding output. This study examines, using case studies and test projects, numerous effective applications of IoT in industry. For large-scale farming, for instance, drones for field monitoring and aerial photography have been employed.
