ABSTRACT
Concrete-filled steel pipe columns have been applied to concourses and platform floors of underground stations where passengers come and go because they can make effective use of limited space. In this study, steel laminated bearing plates were developed to re-place the cast steel funnel-shaped bearing plates that have been widely used as bearing plates for concrete-filled steel pipe columns for a long time. As a result of the implementation design for the first application of concrete-filled steel pipe columns with the newly developed steel laminated bearing plates to a construction site, reasonable specifications were obtained, and the columns were successfully applied to the construction site. This paper describes the design and construction of the first application of concrete-filled steel pipe columns with newly developed steel laminated bearing plates to a construction site.
