ABSTRACT
The Ontario Line Southern (OLS) project, part of the Ontario Line’s first phase, involves civil works, utility installations, and guideway structures, integrating with GO Transit Exhibition Station and TTC Osgoode and Queen stations. Construction begins in 2024 or 2025, featuring four underground stations built with the Sequential Excavation Method (SEM), two cut-and-cover stations, and 6 km of twin tunnels. Osgoode Station (36m deep) and Queen Station (31m deep) will connect to existing TTC stations via new entrances and elevators, preserving heritage features. Both stations face challenges from nearby structures and limited space. This paper explores the design and initial support measures for these stations, addressing the complexities of constructing underground transit hubs in dense urban settings while minimizing construction impacts.
