ABSTRACT
The awarding of the main contracts for the construction of the Mont Cenis Base Tunnel on the Italian and French sides, and the start of work, brings the Lyon-Turin Cross-Border Section into a fully execution phase. This situation required the implementation of different tools for the management of the project, the geological portal has represented a fundamental element for the management of a large quantity of information of various technical nature. Particularly important is the launch of the works, during which a major effort of alignment of the various actors from different points of view (technical, IT, methodological) was required, which was achieved through specific protocols for the implementation, delivery and updating of information. Of particular importance is the analysis and consolidation of the data for the production of different types of reports useful for both the periodic monitoring in synergy with the project planning and control function and the “linear planning” methodology.
