ABSTRACT

Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development is an action programme for people, the planet and prosperity. Undesigned by the governments of the 193 member nations of the United Nations and approved by the UN General Assembly. The agenda consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which are part of a broader action program comprising 169 associated goals to be achieved in environmental, economic, social, and institutional areas by the year 2030. Construction and infrastructure, especially tunnelling, must contribute to this call.. This issue is especially challenging in subsoil areas, focusing on tunnels and spaces for various activities. The paper explores how city's structure and infrastructure play a fundamental role in the achievement of the sustainable development goals.
