ABSTRACT

In tunnel construction by the conventional tunnelling method, occupational accidents may occur due to falling rocks that occurs near tunnel face. Therefore, various risk evaluation of falling rocks has been performed in consideration of occurrence factors of falling rocks. However, at present, almost no risk evaluation has been conducted focusing on unevenness of tunnel face, which is one of occurrence factors of falling rocks. In this study, in order to evaluate risk of falling rocks due to the unevenness of tunnel face, a 3D numerical analysis model considering unevenness of tunnel face was generated by utilizing the point cloud data obtained from photogrammetry of tunnel face. And basic stability analysis of tunnel face was carried out. As a result, it was clear that the falling rocks from tunnel face was likely to occur when there was an overhanging part in the upper section of tunnel face.
