ABSTRACT
Offering unparalleled flexibility and scalability, cloud computing has completely changed how data is managed, accessed, and stored. However, due to the inherent risks of storing sensitive data in the cloud, there is a need for stronger security measures, especially in virtualized systems A review of data encryption techniques for cloud storage security is provided in virtualized systems have been shown in this study. The first part of the paper examines the basic security issues provided by virtualized systems, such as shared resources and the possibility of unwanted access then explores different encryption techniques, such as homogeneous encryption, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, TLS /SSL, etc. In addition, the study looks at how encryption affects performance by considering latency and computational cost. Also included are recommended practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards for encrypted cloud storage. The study concludes with recommendations that can be implemented for businesses looking to improve the security of their cloud storage in a virtualized system.
