ABSTRACT
In our day-to-day life the usage of fossil fuels is increasing drastically. This led to an increase in the emission of carbon dioxide. So, we have to look for an alternative source that is eco-friendly. The hybrid electric vehicle is nothing but runs over using an Internal Combustion Engine and battery. But, in these cases, the fuel used to run the vehicle is not fossil fuels. The alternative source for these is hydrogen. Even though the hybrid vehicle consists of a battery. It is not even suitable for long drives. So, standby and alternative power sources are mandatory and these sources should be renewable/green sources. By considering all these circumstances hydrogen is the best alternative for these. The required hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water. In electrolysis, water separates the water into hydrogen and oxygen. This hydrogen is used to run the vehicle. Even though hydrogen is one of the most efficient energy carriers, the fuel cell can produce direct current to run the vehicle. The battery used in the vehicle is charged through the solar panel placed above the vehicle. So, these system makes HEV more reliable.
