ABSTRACT

A person may feel drowsy due to various factors, such as alcohol consumption, fatigue, or drug use. Our focus is on detecting alcohol and fatigue-related drowsiness in real-time using an embedded system with Raspberry Pi. The system will utilize an alcohol sensor (MQ-3) to detect the presence of alcohol in the driver's breath, providing a reliable indication of intoxication levels. To detect fatigue-related drowsiness the system will use a camera and facial recognition software to monitor the driver's facial expressions and eye movements, alerting them if signs of drowsiness are detected.
