ABSTRACT

In response to the escalating demand for food safety, quality assurance, and sustainability in the agricultural sector, the integration of advanced technologies has become imperative. This paper proposes a comprehensive approach to address these challenges by combining Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, temperature sensors, and gas sensors to establish end-to-end traceability in the agricultural supply chain. The integration of RFID facilitates real-time tracking of agricultural products, enabling stakeholders to monitor and record crucial information throughout the supply chain. Temperature sensors play a vital role in maintaining optimal storage conditions, thereby preventing spoilage and ensuring product quality. Concurrently, gas sensors provide insights into environmental conditions, aiding in the identification of potential contaminants. By combining these technologies, a robust traceability system is established, enabling stakeholders to access comprehensive data on each agricultural product's journey from farm to consumer. This innovative approach not only enhances food safety but also promotes transparency, efficiency, and accountability within the agricultural supply chain. The convergence of RFID technology, temperature sensors, and gas sensors in agricultural traceability presents a myriad of benefits. Enhanced transparency empowers consumers with accurate information about product origin, handling, and con- ditions, fostering trust and promoting sustainable and ethical practices within the industry.
