ABSTRACT
Integrating blockchain technology with cloud-based healthcare systems enhances security and privacy for patient data. Blockchain's decentralized nature reduces the risk of a single point of failure, while cryptographic methods ensure data integrity and prevent unauthorized changes. Smart contracts enable access controls to prevent illegal activity. Blockchain records transactions securely, allowing for audits and accountability. Permissioned blockchain simplifies secure sharing of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) among providers, safeguarding patient data in cloud storage and promoting transparency. Challenges such as scalability, efficiency, and legal compliance need to be addressed for widespread adoption. This study analyzes the use of blockchain in eHealthcare applications, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
