ABSTRACT

This paper presents the design and analysis of a unique reconfigurable basketball court shaped patch antenna with overall Compact Size of 33 X 24 X 2 mm3 that operates in four dual band modes: 1.9GHz,3.5GHz, 2.4GHz, 4.2GHz, 3GHz,5.5GHz, and 3.5GHz,7.5GHz With impedance bandwidth of 10.52%, 11.59%, 16.66%, 10.65%, 12.83%, 13.08%, 11.59% and 8.10%.The Gains of proposed antenna at resonant frequencies are 3.5dB, 4.2dB, 4.6dB, 4.4dB, 3.6dB, 3.7dB, 4.9 dB and 3.7dB.Validated by simulation and experiment, the antennas show good efficiency, radiation patterns, gain, and impedance matching. Their operational frequency range is 1.9 GHz to7.5 GHz. Compared to similar designs, they have a broader bandwidth, more operating bands, a greater gain, and a smaller footprint. and including seven operating bands is shown in the research. The Proposed Antenna Used For military, satellite communications and contemporary communication equipment. In the modeling and measurement setup, adjustable capacitance for frequency reconfigurability is achieved by the employment of lumped components and PIN diodes.
