ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the earthquake performance of reinforced concrete structures in Dogubayazıt district of Agri province, which is located in a region with high seismic activity according to Turkey’s Earthquake Hazard Map, and to predict the potential damage these structures may incur during an earthquake. In the study, visual scanning methods were employed to quickly and efficiently assess the seismic risks of the structures, and to enhance the effectiveness of these methods, the logistic regression machine learning algorithm was integrated. The logistic regression model, trained with data from reinforced concrete buildings affected by the earthquakes in Afyon, Bingöl, and Van was used to predict the damage of 177 reinforced concrete buildings in Dogubayazıt district. The results estimate that in the event of the anticipated earthquake, 19.77% of the buildings may sustain light damage, 45.20% moderate damage, and 35.03% severe damage.
