ABSTRACT
Taking the 2,180m steel truss suspension bridge of Shiziyang Bridge as the research object, the Multiple Stripe Analysis method is employed to conduct a seismic vulnerability analysis of the structure. Using material strain, curvature ductility, and other variables as seismic damage performance index, a relationship between the damage levels of structural components such as bridge towers and cables, and structural responses is established. The research results indicate that the damage failure probability of Shiziyang Bridge in the transverse direction is greater than that in the longitudinal direction; damage to the structure occurs only when the peak ground acceleration exceeds 0.5g. Given that the peak acceleration at the Shiziyang Bridge site is 0.21g, no structural damage will occur, and the overall structure has a high seismic safety redundancy.
