ABSTRACT
Hybrid renewable generation systems combine multiple sources of energy, making them more reliable, efficient, and sustainable. They utilize technologies such as solar photovoltaics (PV), wind power, hydropower, and biomass to provide uninterrupted power. The chapter discusses hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) configurations, energy storage techniques, optimization techniques, and integration with the grid. The chapter also discusses new technologies like AI-based energy management, blockchain-based transactions, and digital twin simulations. The chapter concludes with a case study on the installation of a hybrid system in a rural area, examining its impact on energy security and socio-economic growth. The chapter presents several case studies and examines the integration of modern systems to achieve a sustainable future. The chapter outlines the Solar-Wind Integration and the process for overcoming energy storage challenges.
