ABSTRACT

Collaborative-based learning has many advantages for students, teachers, and schools. Team-based teaching is effective in the classroom. This study aims to determine the trend of team teaching-based learning articles and whether countries that publish more team teaching receive a higher number of team teaching citations. The classification of the most famous journals for publishing team teaching and mapping trends in international scientific publications uses the Scopus database. The technique employed is bibliometric analysis. The Scopus database was used to obtain research data from 207 open-access documents published between 1970 and 2022. The data is stored in the software as data processing material in Microsoft Excel format. From 1970 to 2022, the number of articles written about team teaching increased significantly. The findings in this study are that team teaching-based learning is often implemented in health education, and the most popular country that publishes team teaching is the United States. Furthermore, the VOSViewer software mapping analysis identifies five themes related to team teaching. The dimly colored themes such as “postgraduate education,” “educational measurement,” “human experiment,” and “qualitative research” are still rarely studied and have the potential to become new themes in future research.
