ABSTRACT

This study critically examines the effectiveness of the Political Party Information System (Sistem Informasi Partai Politik– SIPOL) used by the Indonesian Solidarity Party (Partai Solidaritas Indonesia – PSI) and the Labor Party (Partai Buruh) during the 2024 general elections in Indonesia, aiming to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. The research investigates how SIPOL was employed in verifying political party candidates. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews with political figures and document analysis from both parties. The findings highlight SIPOL's crucial role in facilitating the verification process, encompassing stages such as registration, administrative verification, and the revision and announcement of verification results. Electoral integrity is characterised by four key attributes: accountability, transparency, honesty, and accuracy, all of which were positively acknowledged by PSI and the Labour Party. The study concludes that SIPOL significantly contributes to maintaining electoral integrity. It recommends that policymakers and political stakeholders refine and strengthen SIPOL's implementation to enhance the quality, transparency, and reliability of future electoral processes in Indonesia.
