ABSTRACT
This paper reviews studies on Islamic philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and tourism, examining both their interconnections and research focused on each topic individually. A systematic literature review (SLR) approach was employed to collect and analyse relevant data. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using Harzing's Publish or Perish to filter articles indexed in Scopus from 2015 to 2024. VOSviewer, NVivo 12 Pro, and Atlas.Ti 9 software was utilised for data analysis and visualisation. Following a rigorous selection process, 122 out of 500 documents were chosen for detailed examination. The findings reveal a significant gap in research on how Islamic philanthropy can be effectively utilised to develop and support the tourism industry through entrepreneurship. This study highlights the potential role of Islamic philanthropy in advancing the tourism sector and calls for future research to evaluate this integration's social and economic impacts. Additionally, it suggests the need for frameworks that align philanthropic efforts with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to sustainable economic growth and community development.
