ABSTRACT

The management of zakat funds presents a promising solution for poverty alleviation, particularly by raising awareness among affluent Muslims to contribute through zakat. This study examines the Desa Tani Program initiated by Dompet Dhuafa, which aims to strengthen community economic development through empowerment initiatives. Using a qualitative approach with SWOT analysis, this study evaluates the program's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The findings indicate that Dompet Dhuafa provides participants with capital, training, land facilities, production resources, and continuous guidance. The analysis yields an internal factor score of 0.63 and an external factor score of 0.86, positioning the program in quadrant I of the SWOT matrix, highlighting strong strengths and opportunities. Based on these results, the recommended strategy is Strengths-Opportunities (SO), leveraging internal strengths to maximise available opportunities through an aggressive growth approach. This program directly supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), by fostering zakat-driven economic empowerment and food security.
