ABSTRACT
Geotechnical engineering courses are mostly given limited attention by the undergraduate students of civil engineering. In practice it is fact that the filed problem in any civil specialization needs the minimum critical understanding of the concepts of soil-mechanics. Considering this fact as a teacher its responsibility for students to make understand geotechnical engineering in order to become a successful civil engineer, In this study the attempt is made by author to generate a simulation models on few critical concepts which covers Pile bearing capacity through rice bowl, swelling clay problem in site settlement and structural damages, Effective pressure and its significance, Lateral active earth pressure and many more. Those models are demonstrated in the classroom during the teaching sessions. The approach is validated from learning and teaching practices and the outcome is compared. The study shows constructive results in terms of understanding the concepts and lifelong learning of the students.
