ABSTRACT
The sheet-pipe is a perforated high-density polyethylene rolled-band sheet with a width of 180 mm and a thickness of 1 mm (length:100 m/roll) is transformed to a drainage pipe with 50 mm in diameter while withdrawing into the hole with 100 mm in diameter. This hole is dug by using the plough and since the digging force is applied by the Mole Drainer, this drainage system is suitable for such a relatively large field as farmland. To apply this system to a smaller area, firstly the full scale digging force was measured, secondly to find the effect of each part of the plough, a prototype of model digging equipment with a scale of 1: 4 was developed. Thirdly, to use the backhoe in place of the Mole Drainer, a new type of the plough was developed and the effectiveness was confirmed.
