ABSTRACT
The democratization of elections has always been one of the cornerstones of societal governance. However, in modern times, ensuring the security, and transparency of voting systems has posed significant challenges. Issues such as voter fraud, tampering, vote miscounting, and lack of transparency often plague traditional voting mechanisms. To address these challenges, this project presents a blockchain- based decentralized voting application that leverages modern cryptographic techniques and decentralized technologies for secure, transparent, and verifiable elections. In this system, users will access the voting platform through a secure and easy- to-use interface. Upon authentication, each voter is assigned a unique key for vote submission, which gets encrypted and added to the blockchain. The decentralized nature of the blockchain ensures that no central authority has control over the voting process, eliminating the potential for central points of failure or manipulation. By implementing this decentralized voting application, the project aims to establish a robust, transparent, and tamper-proof voting system that instills trust in voters and electoral bodies alike. The expected outcome is the creation of a secure and transparent voting system that can be applied in various contexts, ranging from governmental elections to corporate governance, reducing the risks of vote manipulation, fraud, and unauthorized access.
