ABSTRACT

Increasing numbers of colleges are focusing on the integration of science and engineering because it is multidisciplinary in the area of robotics and automation because STEM education is gaining momentum globally. The campus chemical labs have traditionally been thought of as being dangerous, especially the pharmaceutical chemistry labs, which are often the focus of pharmaceutical lab organization. Security threats can be minimized or even eliminated altogether with the new technology in the way of safety management. Due to the fast progress of artificial intelligence, robots are already utilized in a vast array of industries, such as protection inspection, in which humans are being phased out. Perhaps one of the most significant duties of a lab safety review is to determine the cause of a fire and immediately take action to extinguish it. To this paper, the objective is to create an emergency safety robot that can send out alarms and extinguish fire in order to minimize accidents and economic losses through the utilization of machine visualization for routine laboratory inspection with an illness thermal imager to scan the surroundings at the same time. The safety robot is created by utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT)-Raspberry Pi, in which sensor nodes are utilized to sense the smoke or fire. Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) network is installed in the Raspberry Pi to identify whether the smoke is fire or not. Employing machine vision to detect a source of fire and subsequently control the spray device, the robot went through the experiment of extinguishing fire as part of the case study.
