ABSTRACT
This article discusses a collection of short stories by Triyanto Triwikromo from 1993 to 2022, aiming to highlight the author's position in current Indonesian literary criticism. Triyanto, a prolific writer, consistently applies a similar pattern in each work. Therefore, this study examines the body of literary research analysing Triyanto's short stories and assesses researchers’ findings. Employing a posthumanist framework, it explores how human and non-human relationships appear in his narratives. The analysis shows that Triyanto's works have rarely been studied through posthumanism, creating an opportunity for future scholars to address this gap. In line with this, the article contributes to the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) on quality education by introducing fresh perspectives that extend beyond the limited contexts commonly found in previous research.
