ABSTRACT
This article presents a structured, metric-based approach to evaluating adaptability in school design competitions. Using an exploratory methodology and multi-criteria decision-making tools (AHP and WASPAS), six adaptability criteria were identified through literature research and applied to two case studies. The findings highlight both the strengths and limitations of standardized adaptability assessments and emphasize the importance of integrating both quantitative and qualitative factors to capture adaptability’s nuanced role in educational architecture.
