ABSTRACT
Existing methods for building foundations are often the same for large scale and small-scale structures in a variety of environments. This paper presents two prototypes made in aluminum that challenge the standard approach when executing foundations on bedrock for small-scale structures, platforms, or cabins. The two prototypes were installed on an undulating granite surface. This research includes evaluation of the prototypes and design alterations after reviewing load and anchoring performance in the field.
