ABSTRACT

The inlet is the key component that affects the internal and external flow performance of air-breathing vehicle. The wide-envelope flight requires the inlet to have geometric adjustment ability, and the deformation parameters are very important to the internal flow performance. In this paper, the variable geometry inlet with deformed lip is taken as the object. Through numerical simulation, the influence of the main deformation parameters of the inlet lip on the inlet performance is studied, and the influence of amplitude and frequency on the inlet performance is obtained. The results show that the rotation frequency of the lip has a great influence on the inlet performance, which not only leads to the oscillation of the inlet performance, but also induces a larger oscillation of the inlet performance at low frequency. The relevant research results can be used to support and improve the design criteria of inlet with variable lip, which has certain engineering guiding significance.
