ABSTRACT

Contemporary conflicts have demonstrated the importance of a rapid response to changes on the battlefield caused by the development of new technologies and related threats, while simultaneously altering the tactics of combat. This prompt response encompasses a comprehensive range of complex activities associated with training at the lowest levels, culminating in the attainment of new capabilities, acquisition processes, and strategic planning. These activities are inherently time-consuming, and therefore, they are appropriate for the utilization of simulation tools that can simplify and streamline them. This chapter outlines the issues of modeling and simulation in Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). It provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamental breakdown, accompanied by a detailed exposition of the available application options. It then delves into the modeling and simulation of the individual capabilities, culminating in a thorough IAMD simulation.
