ABSTRACT

Employee engagement is a key driver of organizational performance, productivity, and employee satisfaction. In a rapidly evolving work environment shaped by technological advancements and shifting workplace trends, organizations must adopt strategic approaches to build and sustain an engaged workforce. This study explores key engagement drivers, including leadership communication, rewards and recognition, career growth, workplace culture, and employee autonomy. By reviewing existing literature, the study highlights that companies with high engagement levels experience improved retention, reduced absenteeism, and greater innovation. However, gaps in current strategies emphasize the need for adaptive and holistic approaches tailored to diverse workforce expectations. The study employed a standardized survey questionnaire to gather data from 150 Bangalore IT professionals using cross-sectional data collection method. The findings underscore the critical role of effective leadership, transparent communication, structured recognition programs, career development opportunities, and a supportive workplace culture in fostering engagement. Focusing on the information technology sector, this study provides insights into best practices that organizations can implement to enhance employee engagement and drive sustainable performance. It concludes by emphasizing the need for further research on evolving employee expectations, the impact of hybrid work environments, and the development of new engagement models in the digital era.
