ABSTRACT
This study investigates the transformative potential of emerging technologies on Business Intelligence (BI) in the IT industry. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 104 IT professionals to explore the relationship between job roles and BI technology adoption. Quantitative analysis included chi-square testing and correlation analysis, while qualitative insights were gathered from interviews and literature. The findings reveal a statistically significant association between job designation and technology adoption, emphasizing role-specific influences. Conversely, a weak positive correlation was found between experience and familiarity with BI tools like Tableau and Power BI, suggesting experience is not a primary predictor of BI proficiency. The paper highlights how AI, ML, NLP, and blockchain are reshaping BI tools to become more user-friendly and predictive. These advancements support wider adoption and democratization of data-driven decision-making. Managerial implications include the need for tailored training programs, fostering a culture of innovation, and enhancing data literacy among employees. The study concludes with recommendations for future research, focusing on industry-specific BI adaptations, ethical concerns in AI integration, and real-time data processing strategies. These insights contribute to the evolving discourse on BI and its future trajectory in a rapidly digitizing world.
