ABSTRACT
The recent rapid developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have raised growing questions regarding its role in innovation. Inventions developed from human ingenuity become subject to individual creator patents. New developments in AI intelligence pose challenges to inventorship, as these systems now analyze and independently formulate creative solutions using extensive datasets. This research evaluates the application of artificial intelligence functions and intellectual property (IP) regulation to establish patentability standards for inventions that AI systems produce independently.
